VIDEO: The ABSOLUTE Best Way to Start a Fire
It’s not just you. Starting a fire can be incredibly frustrating. You can spend countless minutes lighting, stacking, blowing, and praying for your logs to finally catch fire, only for them to smoulder for a bit and the fire to die out.
But don’t despair! You’ve got your back. If you want to make starting fires a breeze, simply use the right products and the top-down fire-starting method.
How to Light a Fire With the Top-Down Method?
Getting started with the top-down fire-starting method is easy as one, two, three:
- Step 1. First, build one or two base layers by placing your largest logs or briquettes parallel to each other, making sure to leave enough room between the logs to ensure adequate airflow.
- Step 2. Then, create the second layer by placing your kiln-dried kindling on top of the logs.
- Step 3. Finally, add a couple of Natural Firelighters on top of the kindling.
Once this is done, simply light the firelighters. Once they start burning, the fire will start burning downwards, lighting the kindling. The kindling will, in turn, light your logs.
The result? A 99.98% success rate in lighting a fire!
